5.1.6.1.2. TCP/IP Segmentation Offload Memory

TCP/IP segmentation offload (TSO) memory is an external single port RAM (SPRAM). The XGMAC uses the TSO memory interface (TMI) to read and write the TCP/IP header into the TSO memory.

The TSO Memory is 128 bytes per DMA channel which results in a total size of 512 bytes. The memory is internally stored per the data width, which is 8 bytes (64 bits). 512 x 1 B memory is physically stored as 64 x 8 B memory which results in 6 bits of address width.

TSO memory is synchronous to the application clock (aclk_i).
