A.3. PCS, OTN, and FlexE Modes

Each GTS Etheet Itel® FPGA Had IP istace cotais a full featued multi-chael PCS laye, which offes a umbe of itefacig optios fom the FPGA fabic.

The IP offes the followig PCS optios:

  • PCS—This mode uses the MII iteface to tasmit ad eceive Etheet packets fo data ate of 10GE/25GE. It cosists of:
    • PCS—Diect Sigle Chael with ad without FEC
    • PCS—Diect Multiple Chael with ad without FEC
  • OTN ad FlexE—This mode uses the PCS66 iteface to ead ad wite 66 bit blocks data, fom ad to the PMA block.
