While eceivig a icomig packet fom the Etheet lik, the RX MAC expects packets to ed with a Temiate Cotol byte. Packets that cotai a cotol byte othe tha temiate ae malfomed packets. The RX MAC assets o_x_eo[0] o the EOP segmet whe the fame eds to idicate that it was a malfomed packet.
