15.3.2.3.3. Timestamp Correlation using STM HWEVENT

To correlate timestamp between fabric trace, you can also use one of the 44 STM HWEVENT inputs (FPGA_HWEVENT[43:0]) to trigger the STM to generate a HWEVENT message with a timestamp to help achieve some level of correlation between a fabric event or trace. In this case, only the STM generates a trace message and so it does not provide as high level of correlation as using the ATB’s SYNCREQ to force them all to generate trace synchronization messages in unison.
