2.3.3. PMA Loopback Modes
The PMA chael icludes seial ad paallel loopback paths. These loopback paths povide suppot fo diffeet debuggig optios ad cofiguatios. Available loopback paths ae labeled i the followig figue ad descibed below:
- A: PMA-tasmitte-to-eceive iteal seial loopback (TX2RXBUF):
- Loops back the tasmitte pe-dive diffeetial I/O sigals to the eceive equalize.
- B: PMA-tasmitte-to-eceive paallel loopback (TX2RXPAR):
- Paallel loopback fom the PMA tasmit lae 32 bit data pots to the eceive lae 32 bit data pots.
- C: PMA-eceive-to-tasmitte evese paallel loopback (RX2TXPAR):
- Paallel loopback fom the PMA eceive lae 32 bit data pots to the tasmit lae 32 bit data pots. This loopback eables the tasmitte buffe to tasmit data fed diectly fom the CDR ecoveed data.
Note: Refe to the GTS PMA/FEC Diect PHY IP Registe Map o how to eable ad disable vaious loopback modes suppoted i the Agilex™ 5 FPGAs.
