7.2.5. Running BER Tests

Afte you ceate the tasceive liks fo debuggig, you ca u BER tests fom the Chael Paametes tab:

  1. I the Collectio status table, select the pi fo the TX ad RX chaels you wat to test.
  2. I the Chael Paametes tab, select the PRBS patte i the TX ad RX chaels.
  3. Set the TX Equalizatio Paametes. Key i the values, click Set Paametes. To load the values, click Get Paametes.
  4. Click Stat i the TX Chael to stat the Had PRBS geeato.
  5. Click TX Reset FGT PMA ad RX Reset FGT PMA. This step is oly applicable to the FGT PMA.
  6. Click Stat i the RX Chael to stat the Had PRBS checke.
  7. To stop the test, click Stop i the RX Chael ad TX Chael.
  8. If you wat to u aothe BER test with a diffeet PRBS patte o TX equalizatio paametes, epeat steps 2 to 7.

You ca set paametes, stat PRBS geeato, stop PRBS checke o eset acoss multiple chaels simultaeously fom the Status Table. Choose the desied chaels, ight-click, select Edit Paametes o the Actio sub-meu.

You ca also eable o disable the gay code settigs i the Tasceive Toolkit GUI fo FHT desigs. The check box iitially eflects the status of the hadwae. Theefoe, if you eable gay code i you desig, the check box is ticked upo statig the Tasceive Toolkit.

Note: Afte chagig TX o RX equalizatio paametes acoss multiple chaels fom the Edit Paametes widow, you eed to ight click o the selected chaels, select Actios ➤ Receive o Tasmitte ➤ Aalog ➤ Set Paametes i ode to load i the updated value.
