1.3. Example Use Models

The GTS AXI Streaming IP can be used in various applications such as an endpoint, root port, virtualization, inline processing, lookaside memory processing, and others to move data between the source and destination.

The following figure shows a simple block diagram of the GTS AXI Streaming IP in Endpoint mode connected to a root port on a host. You can run an application like Programmable Input Output (PIO) to perform writes and reads to the host memory. The GTS AXI Streaming IP can also be used as a root port, when connected to a System-on-Chip (SoC)/processor similar to the host in the following example.
