3.1.1.2. Bank Spreading

The Memory Specific Adaptor can send back-to-back requests to a different bank each time with a round robin scheduling, optimizing timing much as multiple copies would.

Bank spreading improves performance for random read and write traffic, especially when write traffic is heavy or memory capacity is limited. Bank spreading returns read/write responses out-of-order on the AXI MM interface. For bank spreading to work, you must provide distinct AXI IDs with each AXI transaction.
