4.4.4.8.2. Programming the Hardware Design to Your Device

After compiling your modified hardware design, you can program the hardware design to your device. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Programmer.
  2. Click Start to download the .sof to your device.
    If the software disables the Start button, or the Hardware Setup field does not list the Intel® FPGA Download Cable cable, refer to the Introduction to the Quartus Software manual for more details on the Programmer tool.
