4.2. Troubleshooting for Launching BTS

No Available Serial Ports

  1. Check if the micro-USB is connected physically.
  2. Check if the FTDI UART driver is installed successfully.
    1. On your Windows taskbar, right click Start (Windows logo) > Computer Management.
    2. Check if the UART ports of the Agilex™ 5 FPGA E-Series 065B Premium Development Kit can be recognized by the operating system. The UART ports have the following characteristics:
      • Manufacturer = FTDI
      • Vendor ID = 0x403
      • Product ID = 0x6010 or 0x6011
      • Two consecutive serial ports number. For example, USB Serial Port (COM10) and USB Serial Port (COM11).
    3. If no valid UART ports are in the list, it may be due to UART driver is not installed properly. You must reinstall the FTDI UART driver.

No Response after Message Sent

The issue roots that the UART does not work correctly, follow the check list below:
  1. Check if the BTS is launched before the board is ready.
  2. Check if there are some third-party UART tools that have occupied the port.
  3. Check if there are other BTS instances and close them.
  4. Check if uninstall and install UART device in "Computer Management" can solve the issue.
