5.2. Configuring the FPGA Device by Active Serial (AS) Modes (Default Mode)

  1. Set SW27 (or use BTS for remote control) to AS x4 fast or normal mode. AS x4 fast mode is the default configuration mode for the board shipped from factory.
  2. Power on the board.
  3. MAX® 10 selects QSPI flash U10 interface to FPGA SDM. FPGA configures itself with programming file stored within the QSPI flash.
  4. Observe that LED D20 shows Green (AS x4 fast mode) or D21 shows Green (AS x4 normal mode).
