3.2. Default Settings

The Agilex™ 5 FPGA E-Series 065B Premium Development Kit ships with its board switches, which are pre-configured to support the design examples in the kit. If you suspect your board might not be correctly configured with the default settings, follow the instructions in the Factory Default Switch Setting table to return to its factory settings before proceeding ahead.

  • ON—Powers on the board
  • OFF—Powers off the board

  • ON—Selects the FPGA user image
  • OFF—Selects the factory default image

  • ON—Bypasses the HPS JTAG chain
  • OFF—Includes the HPS JTAG chain

  • ON—Selects the embedded Intel® FPGA Download Cable II
  • OFF—Selects the external Intel® FPGA Download Cable II dongle

  • ON—Bypasses the FMC JTAG chain
  • OFF—Includes the FMC JTAG chain

User defined switch:
  • ON—Sets the switch to low
  • OFF—Sets the switch to high

Connected to HSIO I/O for debugging purpose:
  • ON—Connects to ground (GND)
  • OFF—Open
SW25[1:4] ON/OFF/OFF/OFF Configures the 88E2110 ENET1 PHYAD setting.

  • ON—Selects 000 for PHYAD[4:2]
  • OFF—Deselects 000 for PHYAD[4:2]
SW25[2]
  • ON—Selects 001 for PHYAD[4:2]
  • OFF—Deselects 001 for PHYAD[4:2]

  • ON—Selects 010 for PHYAD[4:2]
  • OFF—Deselects 010 for PHYAD[4:2]

  • ON—Selects 111 for PHYAD[4:2]
