3.3.2. Restoring Board QSPI Flash U4 with the Default Factory Image

Note: The QSPI flash is pre-programmed with AVSTx8 image. Completing the steps overwrites this image.
  1. Make sure SW27[3:1] are [off off on] (AVSTx8).
  2. Open the Quartus® Prime Programmer GUI, and click Auto Detect.
  3. Right click on the VTAP10 device, and go to Edit > Change Device. Change the device to MAX 10 > 10M50DAF484.
  4. Right click on the 10M50DAF484 device and go to Edit > Attach Flash Device. Select Quad SPI Flash Memory > QSPI_2Gb and click QSPI_2Gb > Change file to the avst_x8_2pages.pof file under ~factory_recovery folder.
  5. Start the Programmer until it is 100% successful.
