4.5.4.2. CRC Error
A CRC error occurs when the CRC bytes in a received frame do not match with the CRC bytes computed internally by the MAC. When there is a CRC error, the frame is considered invalid.
If the frame is for the consumption of the client, the external logic outside of MAC drops the frame.
If the frame is for internal consumption, the MAC must drop it without any side effects. For instance, if the frame were a Pause, the MAC would neither update pause quanta nor back-pressure transmission of data frames.
