4.1.2. Voltage Sensor Voltage Reference Pins

Each Agilex™ 5 FPGA has two dedicated voltage reference pins, VREFP_ADC and VREFN_ADC.

The Agilex™ 5 voltage sensor supports internal and external voltage references. To turn on the external voltage reference feature, from the Quartus® Prime menu, navigate to Assignments > Device > Device and Pin Options > Configuration.

If you use an external voltage reference:

  • Connect VREFP_ADC to a 1.25 V power supply.
  • Connect VREFN_ADC to the ground.
Note: Do not turn on the external voltage reference feature if you turn on the anti-tamper detection options for frequency, temperature, and voltage.
