4.2. Design Upgrade from Nios® II Processor to Nios® V Processor

To upgrade a design from the Nios® II processor to the Nios® V processor, you must upgrade two basic components of the embedded system:
  • Hardware component ( Quartus® Prime project)
  • Software component (Eclipse IDE project)

The following simple Hello World design of the Nios® II processor with on-chip memory and JTAG UART demonstrates the process of upgrading to Nios® V processor.
