1.1.3. Secondary Profiles

A secondary profile is a PMA direct or FEC direct setting that you want to dynamically reconfigure to.

There are a total of 32 secondary profiles you can enable for each F-Tile PMA/FEC Direct PHY Multirate Intel FPGA IP. The secondary profiles must use all of the PMA lanes allocated for the reconfiguration group, either within a single profile or in multiple profiles by using the same Profile group id.

The Profile #N IP Configuration sub tab is where you can configure the different Reconfiguration subset, Target fracture, Profile group id parameters and Use profile for startup option. These parameters and option are new in this IP. For more information about these parameter settings, refer to Parameter Settings: Profile #N (N=0-32) Tab.

You also have to configure the Common Datapath, TX Datapath, RX Datapath and RS-FEC options for your PMA channel to reflect your targeted reconfiguration profiles. IP Port selection is not available in secondary profiles settings.
