2.1.2. Error Correction Code (ECC) Block Coding

This method performs error detection and correction, and is used where data re-transmission is costly. Some examples include:
  • Hamming code
  • Low density parity check codes (LDPC)
  • Convolutional codes
  • Viterbi
  • Various FEC codes
