PXFPIPE

POSIX Subroutine: Creates a communications pipe between two processes. This routine is only available for Linux.

Module

USE IFPOSIX

CALL PXFPIPE (ireadfd,iwritefd,ierror)

ireadfd

(Output) INTEGER(4). The file descriptor for reading.

iwritefd

(Output) INTEGER(4). The file descriptor for writing.

ierror

(Output) INTEGER(4). The error status.

If successful, ierror is set to zero; otherwise, an error code.

The PXFPIPE subroutine returns a pair of file descriptors, pointing to a pipe inode, and places them into ireadfd for reading and into iwritefd for writing.
