Syntax

-ipo-c |
Windows: |
/Qipo-c |
Arguments
None
Default
OFF |
The compiler does not generate a multifile object file. |
Description
This option tells the compiler to optimize across multiple files and generate a single object file (named ipo_out.o on Linux* systems; ipo_out.obj on Windows* systems).
It performs the same optimizations as the [Q]ipo option, but compilation stops before the final link stage, leaving an optimized object file that can be used in further link steps.
Files compiled with option -ipo-c or /Qipo-c should also be linked with the same option, or the link step may fail.
