3.7.1. Power Rails for Migration

During Agilex™ 5 E-Series device migration, ensure that power rail connections adhere to the required guidelines.

To ensure a smooth migration, prioritize understanding the key differences between the targeted package and the original package. Focus on reviewing the following areas:

Area Notes
HPS Some packages do not offer HPS. For migration of HPS to non-HPS and vice versa, the power rails connection will be different. Refer to HPS section for the power rails connection guide.
I/O

Migration of HSIO and HVIO can happen between packages that do not offer the same number of banks.

Refer to I/O section for the power rails connection guide.

Transceiver Migration of XCVR can happen between packages that do not offer the same number of transceiver count. Refer to the Pin Connection Guidelines: Agilex™ 5 FPGAs and SoCs for more information.
