7. Heat Sinks

FPGAs appear in a wide variety of products and layout configurations; consequently, it can be difficult to find off-the-shelf heat sinks for all applications. However, for some low-power designs, off-the-shelf solutions can often be found.

The following companies are two examples that offer a wide range of products:

  • Advanced Thermal Solutions, Inc. (https://www.qats.com).

Clipped heat sinks are available that do not require holes on the circuit board for installation.
