5.3.2. HBM Crossbars

The NoC allows you to form crossbars of N initiators connected to M targets. This type of crossbar connection is most common for the HBM with NxN structures. In general, follow the same placement as 1:1 connections but construct the crossbar connectivity on adjacent initiators and targets. This technique minimizes horizontal movement on the NoC. The following diagrams show the recommended grouping of initiators to targets. Groups of the same color indicate which initiators and targets to combine into a crossbar configuration.
