1.1. Documentation Conventions for Examples

This document provides examples from both an operating system command line interface (CLI) and the Intel® Simics® simulator for Intel® FPGAs CLI.

These examples are typically rendered in a monotype font and use the following typographical conventions:
Convention Explanation
plain text Indicates CLI text of minimal importance such as command prompts.
boldface text Indicates the command or keyword that is entered.
italic text Indicates output from a command.
Examples in this document might also include additional blank lines to improve the clarity and readability of the example text.
The examples assume that they are running from the following directory:
  • Linux: /home/simicsUser/SimicsInstallDir/project-1
