What's New with Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers
Intel GPA 2022.4
Graphics Frame Analyzer, Graphics Trace Analyzer, System Analyzer, Graphics Monitor
This release of Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers (Intel® GPA) contains the following additions and enhancements.
The collection and calculation of memory metrics now include an assessment of memory peak bandwidth of your target platform. This improves the accuracy of identifying memory bottlenecks in your application.
The user interface for the Render Target Dependency Viewer graph has been enhanced for an improved user experience. The graph now displays additional data including buffer ID, buffer name, and size (bytes). You can also configure the UI to view tools and data that are most important for your workflow.
Intel® GPA now supports the first generation of Intel® Arc™ high-performance discrete GPUs code named Alchemist, and previously known as DG2.
Intel® GPA Framework now contains the following improvements:
For dispatch rays that are in the same CommandList in DirectX Raytracing (DXR) workloads, Compute Shaders now populate shader parameters. This reduces playback overhead and delivers 10-40% faster playback depending on your workload.
Playback performance has also been enhanced for deferred and subcaptured streams at startup by batching Resource Barriers for state restoration.
Subcapture boundary processing has been improved so that the subcaptured stream now includes frame 0 as well as the last frame of the original stream. The compressed streams can now contain the original stream in its entirety. You can compress the entire stream and filter out unnecessary resources and API calls. You can also create subcaptures (without the compression and/or filtering) with those frames.
Several issues in AAA gaming workloads have been resolved.
Developer friendly abstractions in Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers Utilities for Vulkan* help lower the barrier of entry to work with Vulkan.
