1.10.1. Generating Required Programming Files
- Generate .sof and .msf files (part of a full compilation of the base and PR revisions).
- Generate a Partial-Masked SRAM Object File (.pmsf) using the following commands:
quartus_cpf -p <pr_revision>.msf <pr_revision>.sof <new_filename>.pmsf
for example:
quartus_cpf -p x7y48.msf switchPRBS.sof x7y48_new.pmsf - Convert the .pmsf file for every PR region in your design to .rbf file format. The .rbf format is used to store the bitstream in an external flash memory. This command should be run in the same directory where the files are located:
quartus_cpf -o scrub.txt -c <pr_revision >.pmsf <pr_revision>.rbf
for example:
quartus_cpf -o scrub.txt -c x7y48_new.pmsf x7y48.rbf
When you do not have an option text file such as scrub.txt, the files generated would be for AND/OR mode of PR, rather than SCRUB mode.
