2.4.1.1. Configuring I/O Assignments Using Assignment Editor

Intel® Quartus® Prime Assignment Editor (Assignments > Assignment Editor) provides a spreadsheet-like interface for assigning all instance-specific settings and constraints. To help you explore your design, the Assignment Editor allows you to filter assignments by node name or category.

Steps to assign I/O standards for your pins:
  1. In the To column, search for the pin that you want to configure.
  2. In the Assignment Name column, select I/O Standard (Accepts wildcards) from the drop-down list.
  3. In the Value column, select the desired I/O standard from the drop-down list.
  4. Click save to save your changes.
Steps to assign programmable I/O elements for your pins:
  1. In the To column, search for the pin that you want to configure.
  2. In the Assignment Name column, select the desired programmable IOE features as listed in from the drop-down list.
  3. In the Value column, select a value based on from the drop-down list.
  4. Click save to save your changes.
