3.8. Applying Power to the Power Board

Note: Always stop the motors, then remove power from the motor control power board, before reprogramming the FPGA, or removing power from the development boards.
CAUTION:
Never connect the battery and the power supply simultaneously.
Apply power to the power board when the design running on Nios II ptrocessor shows the message DC Input Voltage error check power connections.
After a few seconds both motors begin turning. The Nios II console shows further diagnostic messages as the control loop starts.
