Quartus® Prime Version Description Impact
24.2 Introduced the PCIe 1x4 configuration (Topology R) for Root Port mode. This topology allows you to implement a PCIe 1x4 Root Port. The unused F-Tile General Purpose Transceiver (FGT) channels in this topology can be used for the implementation of Ethernet and other protocols.
CentOS is no longer supported for the design example driver from the Quartus® Prime 24.2 release onwards. You must switch the operating system from CentOS 7.0 to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
