19.2.2. Running the Testbench for Two Avalon-MM Masters Slaves
- Unzip ug_avalon_verification.zip to a working directory.
- For the Quartus Prime Standard Edition software, open <working_dir>/avlmm_2x2_vhdl/avlm_avls_2x2.qsys.
- For the Quartus Prime Pro Edition software, specify the <working_dir>/avlmm12x2_vhdl_pro/avlm_avls_2x2.qpf project and <working_dir>/avlmm2x2_vhdl_pro/avlm_avls_2x2.qsys system in the Open System dialog box.
- Complete the following steps to generate the testbench:
- On the Generate menu, select Generate HDL.
- Specify the parameters shown in the following table:

The Qsys Generate window displays informational messages as it generates the testbench.
- Close the Generate window.
- To provide versioned libraries for the VHDL RTL simulation, run the following command:
./update.shYou must rerun ./update.sh each time you regenerate the testbench.
- Start the ModelSim® simulator.
- To run the simulation, type the following command in your working directory:
This command compiles all the required HDL files, elaborates, and runs the simulation.do run_simulation.tcl
