4.2. Report Retiming Recommendations

The Report Retiming Recommendations command imports the recommendations section of the Retime Stage Reports for each project, providing a unified view of the retiming recommendations for each critical chain based on its characteristics. This report organizes recommendations by identifying similar patterns in endpoint names.

You can use these reports in the following ways:

Selecting a row that corresponds to a clock transfer from the Merged Retiming Recommendations Summary table opens a summary-detail panel.

Each row of the Bus Summary table groups its recommendations by bus name pattern. The report focuses on retiming recommendations within a specific clock transfer. View the Number of Projects column in the Bus Summary table to determine the count of unique projects with at least one recommendation in the bundle.

Review the Unique Number of Restriction Types column to simplify the Restriction Type data by showing the number of unique restriction types within each bus bundle. This information helps you to identify buses that may be easier to address based on the various restriction types.

Selecting a row in the Bus Summary table displays the Detailed Recommendations table, that lists each retiming restriction within the bundle.
