4.3.9. Generating and Compiling the Processor System

After you add the custom instruction logic to the system, you can generate and compile the system in the Intel® Quartus® Prime software.

To generate the system and compile, follow these steps:

  1. In Platform Designer, click Generate HDL.
  2. Specify output file generation options.
  3. Click Generate.
  4. After system generation completes, on the File menu, click Exit.
  5. On the Processing menu, click Start Compilation.
