4.1.10. Generating and Compiling the CRC Example System
After you add the custom instruction logic to the system, you can generate the system and compile it in the Intel® Quartus® Prime software.
To generate the system and compile, follow these steps:
- In Platform Designer, on the Generation tab, turn on Create HDL design files for synthesis.
- Click Generate. System generation may take several seconds to complete.
- After system generation completes, on the File menu, click Exit.
- In the Intel® Quartus® Prime software, on the Project menu, click Add/Remove Files in Project.
- Ensure that the .qip file in the synthesis subdirectory is added to the project.
- On the Processing menu, click Start Compilation.
