7.2.2.2. Transferring Files with TFTP service
In embedded systems, the use of the TFTP service is very popular to bring files into the system. It is necessary to have a TFTP server running into a PC, and with this, the tftp command can be used from the system.
In Intel® Simics® simulator, the TFTP service is supported in two ways:
- Using the outgoing forwarding port feature and following the same mechanism that is used in a real embedded system.
- Using a TFTP server embedded in the Intel® Simics® Service Node.
These two mechanisms are described next.
