5.1.2. Assembling the components of your Software Development Platform

To successfully build your software development platform, Intel® recommends that you start with a baseline project; a known good configuration of an HPS system, and then modify the baseline project to suit your end application.

The following diagram presents the recommended procedure to follow in order to determine the software development platform components.

The flow consists of following steps:
  1. Select the operating system: bare-metal, Linux or partner operating system, or real-time operating system.
  2. Choose to write or update end applications or drivers.
