Step 1: Install VTune™ Profiler
This tutorial is validated to work with VTune™ Profiler 2022.4.0.
To install VTune™ Profiler 2022.4.0:
Get the VTune™ Profiler 2022.4.0 l_oneapi_vtune_p_<version>.sh file. Go to the VTune™ Profiler product page.
In a terminal window, make the l_oneapi_vtune_p_<version>.sh file executable. Replace <version> as appropriate.
chmod +x l_oneapi_vtune_p_<version>.sh
Launch the GUI installer as root.
sudo ./l_oneapi_vtune_p_<version>.sh
Follow the installer instruction screens.
The rest of this guide assumes that VTune™ Profiler is installed in the default path: /opt/intel/oneapi.
