4.3.3.1. Set Up the Hardware
The first stage of the demonstration is to set up the hardware.
To set up the hardware for the demonstration:
- Connect the Bitec HDMI HSMC 2.0 daughter card to the FPGA development board.
- Connect the FPGA board to your PC using a USB cable.
Note: The Arria V GX FPGA Starter Kit and Stratix V GX FPGA Development Kit have an On-Board Intel® FPGA Download Cable II connector. If your version of the board does not have this connector, you can use an external Intel® FPGA Download Cable cable.
- Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI RX connector on the Bitec HDMI HSMC 2.0 daughter card to a standard HDMI source, in this case a PC with a graphic card and HDMI output.
- Connect another HDMI cable from the HDMI TX connector on the Bitec HDMI HSMC 2.0 daughter card to a standard HDMI sink, in this case a monitor with HDMI input.
