Carsten Benthin is a senior principal engineer at Intel Corporation who researches, designs, implements, and evaluates high-performance visualization and rendering algorithms. His work focuses on the award-winning Intel® Embree ray tracing kernels and ray-tracing Xe Architecture for Intel GPUs. Carsten received a master's degree in computer science and a PhD on ray tracing optimizations for CPU architectures from Saarland University in Germany.
