1.1. New Features and Enhancements

Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software Versions 24.1std includes functional and security updates. Keep your software up-to-date and follow the technical recommendations that help improve the security of your Quartus® Prime installation.

Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software Version 24.1std includes the following new features and enhancements:
  • Added support for new MAX® 10 devices with OPNs that start as follows:
    • 10M40DDB610
    • 10M40SAB610
    • 10M50DDB610
    • 10M50SAB610
    For these devices, support is provided for compilation, simulation, and timing analysis but the device models, bitstreams, and firmware for the devices are not finalized.

    Pin-out information is generated these devices, but programming files are not generated. Programming support is planned to be available with silicon availability.

  • Added no-cost licensing for Questa* Intel® FPGA Starter Edition. This license is provided automatically when you select no-cost license option in either the License Setup Required dialog box or in the License Setup tool in the Quartus® Prime software.
  • Enhanced the Quartus® Prime installer:
    • Enabled offline installation from downloaded files without the need for internet access.
    • Enabled the ability to update an existing installation from the installer.
    • Added ability to delete downloaded files after installation.
  • The Nios® V/g hw.tcl now allows I or D cache size to be set to zero. When I or D cache is not present the instruction or data master interface implements the AXI4-Lite protocol (which has the side effect of simplifying the interconnects that PD must generate).

Bug Fixes

Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Software Version 24.1std also include bug fixes. Review Software Issues Resolved and Software Patches Included in this Release to see if this version contains fixes for or otherwise resolves any of your customer service ( Intel® Premier Support) requests.
