To preserve the performance, set the following global assignment in your project setting file:
set_global_assignment -name PRESERVE_UNUSED_XCVR_CHANNEL_ON
Note: This global assignment is not applicable for Intel® Stratix® 10 devices that have E-tile transceiver tiles. Using this global assignment may result in compilation error in the Fitter stage. To preserve unused channel in these devices, refer to the Unused Transceiver Channels in the E-Tile Transceiver PHY User Guide.
