Processing Power and Speed
Intel® DAL trusted applications do not provide support for features that have strict time constraints or are bound to high/real-time performance. Byte-code performance is roughly 7 million instructions per second on Intel® ME (~1500 times slower than regular byte-code on host on average). That being said, to provide reasonable performance, many of the operations (crypto, rendering) are offloaded on the platform to native code and hardware when possible.
