Desktop versions of Ubuntu* are not validated for Intel® VROC.
The Intel VROC volume is created successfully in the UEFI/BIOS menu, and it is recognized during the Ubuntu* 22.04 desktop installation, but the system is unable to boot after completing the setup process.
The desktop versions of Ubuntu* do not contain the necessary Intel® Volume Management Device (Intel® VMD) driver that is present in the server versions, even if they are the same release (e.g., 22.04). Only Ubuntu* Server is validated for Intel® VROC usage.
Review the Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC) Supported Configurations for a list of validated operating systems.
