Steps to install/uninstall Intel® RWC3 on Linux* operating system
Unable to find installation instructions for Intel® RAID Web Console 3 (RWC3) for Linux*
Installation process:
- Download the latest Intel® RWC3 for Linux*.
- Unzip the zip file downloaded to a temporary folder.
- Open a terminal and navigate to the folder that has the install.sh file.
- Run the ./install.sh using a root account or use sudo ./install.sh.
Note If you get an error, you may need to change the permission of the installation files by entering the command chmod +x *.sh. - Follow the installer's guidance to complete the installation setup.
- Choose the appropriate Setup Type that best suits your needs, if unsure, choose Gateway by entering 1:
- You may choose to use different ports than the default one by entering the port number that meet your network environment needs, if unsure, keep the default port numbers by pressing Enter.
- If prompted to install SLP package bundled with RWC3, press Y.
- Choose the appropriate Setup Type that best suits your needs, if unsure, choose Gateway by entering 1:
- Depending on your Linux distribution and version, a shortcut to launch RWC3 may be generated on the desktop once the installation is complete.
Note | You can also launch RWC3 by opening the URL "https://localhost:2463" on a web browser. If you have changed the default web server port number, replace 2463 with your port number. |
Uninstalling process:
- Open a terminal.
- Enter the command cd /opt/lsi/LSIStorageAuthority.
- Run ./uninstaller.sh with root or use sudo ./uninstaller.sh.
Intel RWC3 can be installed on any system (including a virtual machine) that has a supported operating system (OS). However, Intel RWC3:
- Supports only select hardware Intel® RAID Controllers and the Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology 2 (ESRT2)
- Does not support Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC)/Intel RSTe
