Troubleshooting errors encountered when installing Intel® Driver & Support Assistant
Issues when installing Intel® Driver & Support Assistant or another application
Errors like 0x80070570 and 0x80070666 can be caused by corrupted registries of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable programs or by Firewall and Antivirus software blocking certain programs.
Method 1
- Download Intel® DSA and Run the installer as administrator (right click on the icon and choose Run as Administrator )
- Add IDSA as an exception to your Antivirus or Firewall or disable these until the installation is completed
Method 2
- Run the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter* to repair the corrupt registries:
- Double click the downloaded file to Open the tool
- Click on Advanced and make sure that the box associated with Apply repairs automatically is checked
- On the next screen click on Installing
- Wait until the inspection phase is complete and choose one of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable programs
- On the next screen click on No, try other fixes and let the program run its course
- Repeat the above steps for all Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable programs installed and restart your computer
Method 3
- Under Programs and Features Uninstall all Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable programs
- Restart your computer and Reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable programs
