This document shows installation instructions for the boxed air-cooled fan heatsink (Intel® Thermal Solution BXRTS2011AC). The fan heatsink comes with pre-applied Thermal Interface Material (TIM).

This thermal solution works with LGA2011-based 130 W processors such as these Intel® Core™ i7 Processors: i7-3820, i7-3930K, i7-3960X, i7-4820K, i7-4930K, and i7-4960X.

The thermal solution does not adequately cool the following processors, which have higher thermal requirements:

• Intel® Core™ i7-3970X Processor Extreme Edition
• Intel® Core™ i7-5960X Processor Extreme Edition
• Intel® Core™ i7-5820K Processor / Intel® Core™ i7-5930K Processor
• Intel® Core™ i7-6950X Processor Extreme Edition
• Intel® Core™ i7-6800K / i7-6850K / i7-6900K Processors
