Host-Target Environment
These diagrams provide an overview of the setup. A complete list of prerequisites and setup steps are specified later in this guide.
For the SBL step, recommended environment consists of Linux* machine, the target system, Windows* machine, and DediProg* software.
Setup for Board Support Package (BSP) Build
For the BSP step, the recommended environment consists of a host system powerful enough to build an OS and a target system for deployment.
The host system is a Linux* machine with high core count and RAM.
The target system is a reference implementation, consisting of a supported Intel® hardware platform and Slim Bootloader (SBL). You will install the BSP image.
Setup for Intel® TCC Tools
For Intel® TCC Tools, Intel recommends a host system for development tasks and a target system for application deployment and execution.
The host system is a Linux* machine, which can be the same as the build host or a separate, less powerful machine.
On the target system where you installed the BSP image, you will install Intel® TCC Tools.
