6.1. Ethernet to CPRI Design Example: Functional Description
This section supports the following configurations:
Base Variant (Startup IP/Mode) | Dynamic Reconfiguration Variants |
---|---|
25G with RS-FEC | 25G-1 Ethernet with RS-FEC |
10G-1 Ethernet | |
24G CPRI with RS-FEC | |
10G CPRI | |
9.8G CPRI | |
4.9G CPRI | |
2.4G CPRI | |
25G-1 with RS-FEC (with 1GE) | 25G-1 Ethernet with RS-FEC |
10G-1 Ethernet | |
1G-1 Ethernet | |
24G CPRI with RS-FEC | |
10G CPRI | |
9.8G CPRI | |
4.9G CPRI | |
2.4G CPRI | |
25G-1 PTP with RS-FEC (with 1GE PTP) | 25G-1 with RS-FEC and PTP |
10G-1 with PTP | |

Note: The Ethernet to CPRI Protocol Design Example demonstrates a total of 8 Dynamic Reconfiguration variants. However, conceptually, you can also perform dynamic reconfiguration switching between Ethernet mode to any other F-Tile CPRI PHY Intel FPGA IP core supported mode that are not listed in the table (for example, 12G CPRI RS-FEC or 6G CPRI).
