Method to resolve "Unable to Resize Last Partition" errors when enabling system acceleration with Intel® Optane™ memory.
Enabling acceleration fails with an error stating the last partition cannot be resized.
During the enabling process for system acceleration with Intel® Optane™ memory, the system tries to utilize 5MB of space at the end of the SSD for metadata. Metadata is identifying information that helps the system recognize a drive that is paired, combined to look like one drive, with the Intel Optane memory module.
This error means that the enabling software was unable to create this space for the metadata. This may be due to not enough free space on the drive being accelerated, or a locked partition at the end of the drive.
