Need to know if PCIe revision is compatible with previous versons.

Resolution

Yes. The specifications for PCIe have all included backward compatibility.

 

Refer to your motherboard BIOS vendor to check for related options in the BIOS.

 

To find what PCIe revision is supported in your processor, follow the steps below:

  1. Identify Intel® Processor and note the number.
  2. Visit the Product Specification page.
  3. Enter the number of the processor in the search field, located upper-right corner.
  4. Once on the processor page, check Expansion Options section and look up PCI Express Revision.
