Uninstall Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software
Caution | On Windows® 10, there are two variations of the Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software:
You may lose OEM-specific feature if you uninstall the DCH-Compliant Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software. Steps described in this page are not applicable for DCH-Compliant Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software. |
- Right-click the Start button.
- Select either Programs and Features or Apps and Features.
- Click Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software.
- Click Uninstall. Select Yes to accept the User Account Control popup. An uninstall message displays.
- Select from the list and click Next. Select one of the following:
- Save Settings: Save settings and files applicable to the current version of the application.
- Discard Settings: Do not save application settings. The removal can take several minutes.
- Click Finish. A message prompts you to restart your computer.
- Click Yes to restart the computer.
Caution | Uninstalling Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software also removes the Wi-Fi driver of the Intel® Wireless Adapter. As a result, you can't use the wireless adapter on your computer. We only recommend uninstalling the driver as a final troubleshooting option. You shouldn't uninstall unless directed by an Intel technical support agent. If you must uninstall, download the latest Wi-Fi drivers before starting this process. |
- Select Charms.
- Select Settings.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Programs and Features.
- Click Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software.
- Click Uninstall. Select Yes to accept the User Account Control popup. An uninstall message displays.
